I have been drawing and painting all my life and it has brought me much joy. Like all creative people who have the capacity to do so; I reinterpret and examine my life through my work.
I often work within the genre of still life, with objects as part of a specific and personal narrative. One of the aspects of my life that gives me much pleasure is my appreciation for animals. Hence they often appear in my work.
Regardless of subject matter, the distinctive aspect of my work, in terms of style, is an instinctive approach to composition and a strong yet nuanced use of color.
The act of perceiving is necessarily an active one for an artist. To then convey, with even a modicum of success, the delight that our eyes can be given on this earth is for me a worthwhile and inspiring task.
