Polly Jacobs
Giacchina:
Polly Jacobs Giacchina has been weaving basketry sculpture
for over 25 years. It is the enjoyment of the process without
really knowing the out come that has sparked her creativity.
Exploration of shape and form continually provide answers
to her interpretation of materials and nature.
Current work has included accents with glass, metal and bamboo.
Joining natural fibers with other manmade materials and reflective
surfaces sparks energy and life into the work. Nature shows
us that all colors and textures are feasible when creating
art. Polly has tried to capture some of the endless potential.
Polly's work will be on display at
SOFA Chicago.
