Dustin Farnsworth:
Born in Lansing Michigan in 1983, Dustin Farnsworth currently attends Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids Michigan. Farnsworth has completed two years of undergraduate studies towards a dual major in Printmaking and Sculpture/Functional Art.

In 2007, two of Farnsworth’s pieces were selected to show with other Kendall students at the American Craft Council show in Baltimore, where one of the pieces was sold to a private collector. Three pieces of Farnsworth’s were shown at the ‘Active Site’ show in Grand Rapids Michigan. In the summer of 2007, one of Farnsworth’s pieces was selected to show at an office furniture and hotel show in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Farnsworth has assisted printmaker Mariel Versluis in her 2006 show ‘Train of Fools’ and also currently assists Brent Skidmore building studio furniture. In addition, Farnsworth will be assistant teaching a furniture class with Brent Skidmore at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Tennessee.

Today, Dustin Farnsworth continues his studies during his third year at Kendall College of Art and Design. He is currently establishing a studio called ‘Cherry Blue Bottom Boys’ with Kendall graduate Timothy Maddox and fellow undergraduate Eric Britton in hopes of creating a new voice in the studio furniture and sculpture business.

Dustin Farnsworth will be showing with the Katie Gingrass Gallery at SOFA-Chicago, November 1-4th, 2007.
