Each piece starts with forming blossoms out of porcelain clay by hand. The porcelain blossoms are each glazed and fired to cone 10 (high-fire). An original painting is done on a hollow wood box that is cradled by 2" of pine. A Litho print is done on the left side of the piece over the acrylic. In the final process, porcelain blossoms are cast to the painting using a casting resin. The blossoms become permanently embedded in the painting.
