Peter Asche:
Jubilation…explosion of joy, the energy of
celebration.
Our message of exaltation is carried in the shape of
a wave. This sculpture is formed of violently fragmented shards
of stained glass, fused in the volcanic heat of a kiln, and
carefully annealed to calm its internal stresses. The surge
of a wave, the knife-edge of creation and destruction, the
inexpressible complexity of our world, all speak to us in
the voice of hope. What was once fracture is now made whole,
and in the process, a surprising new gift is revealed.
Peter Asche's wall sculpture will be featured in our Not
Just for the Office exhibition.
